Congratulations to the boys and girls of fifth and sixth class Tobar an Léinn Raheen who made their confirmation on Friday. The 32 children were confirmed by Fr James Kelly PP Raheen.


A presentation of new jerseys to St Fintan’s Gaels took place in Eamon A’ Chnoic, Raheen on Saturday night. Four sets of new jerseys incorporating the new crest designed by 4th class pupil Leah Moffitt were presented to the under 8, 10, 12 & 14 teams. The committee of St Fintan’s Gaels would like to take this opportunity to thank their sponsors and all who made donations towards the new jerseys. Also on display on the night was a new St Fintan’s Gaels banner designed by 6th class pupil Don Sinnott. Congratulations to Leah and Don who both won a St Fintan’s Gaels jersey for winning the compeition to design the crest and banner. County board chairman Brian Allen congratulated the new juvenile structure and wished all concerned the best of luck for the future.
