Members of the Slieve Bloom Association and friends ventured to Cobh, Co Cork on their annual outing, Saturday, September 8. Our destination was the new Titanic Experience in the original White Star Offices, from whence those last 125 people who boarded the the small boat bringing them to the Titanic left Ireland. We also visited the heritage centre, the museum and the famous cathedral. The day was most interesting and we were blessed with wonderful weather. Thanks to Matt Barrett for organising the trip which was enjoyed by all that went and to Brendan the driver for bringing us safely through all the roundabouts.
