Congratulations to Maura O’Gorman who won the Unsung Hero Award at the 2012 Laois Community Forum Awards for her contribution to the village of Clonaslee and its surrounding areas. She has worked tirelessly for many local organisations, such as Tidy Towns, the local Development Association, and Community Alert, as well as working on some county organisations such as Laois Trip. People like Maura are held up as example of true community spirit, and
the people of Clonaslee would agree.
