The death has occurred of Paddy Clancy of 51 Hebron Park, Kilkenny and late of Rosconnell, Attanagh. Paddy was the last surviving son of Jack and Rose Clancy and had attained the good age of 86 years. A well known and popular figure in this area he excelled at plastering and building work and was regarded as a superb tradesman. Of an outgoing, jovial and care free disposition he was renowned for the hearty laugh with which he greeted all and sundry. Paddy lived in Kilkenny in retirement for quite a number of years and his death followed a long illness. His requiem mass was celebrated by Very Reverend T Murphy PP in St Patrick’s Church Ballyaragget following which burial took place in Ballyouskill cemetery. Paddy is deeply mourned by his wife Mary, sisters Maureen and Teresa, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends, to all of whom sympathy is extended.
