Camross Over 60s

The above group held their annual dinner in the Parish hall on Sunday last. It was a most enjoyable afternoon and a beautiful hot meal was laid on by our local caterers, Pat and Mary-Anne Coyne. 38 people attended, guests of honour were our local clergy-men and Christy Cullen and his wife. After the meal Christy joined by his cousin Pat Collier played and sang and guests, Maud McGlynn, Margaret Culleton, Hannagh Bergin Kennedy also took part making the evening most enjoyable. Frank McGlynn, our new Chairman welcomed everyone, and new members are always welcome. The fee is only €10 and our Treasurer is Mrs. Joan Hegarty

Fund raiser

We were all very happy to see our G.A.A club join with neighbours Castletown in raising funds for local hospitals. There is so much need at the present time. Well done to all involved as this kind of work is never easy but very rewarding.

Camross Foroige group will hold a cake sale on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th February after Mass. We ask for your support for this event.

Camross Choir

Camross Choir Group would like to say a sincere thank you to all those who supported us during our Christmas Carol singing at the Kyle shopping centre. The proceeds raised were presented to the Muiriose Foundation (Mountrath Respite) and were greatly accepted. The group also held their annual meal at the Community centre which was served by Mary-Ann and her team to whom we extend our gratitude. The group would like to thank sincerely Patrick Gilmartin for all the hours work and preperation for Liturgicae events. Please remember the choir are always open to new members and practice takes place every Wednesday evening in Camross Church from 8-9pm.
