Graiguecullen St Patrick’s Day Parade last few parades were very successful and we look forward to this year’s parade on 17 March. Last year’s committee would like to invite, all groups, clubs and organisations, who would like to take part in this year’s parade, to a meeting on this Tuesday 05 February at 8 pm in the Parish Centre.
WORLD DAY OF THE SICK
Monday 11 February is the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes and world day of the sick. There will be a special blessing with Holy Oil at all Masses next weekend and we invite all, especially those who are sick in any way to come to receive this special blessing.
THE GATHERING 2013
St Fiacc’s School Reunion will this year marks the 21 year anniversary of the official opening of the school. To mark the occasion there is a very special weekend of reminiscences and memories planned for the June Bank Holiday weekend. These will include a School Open Day and entertainment on 31 May, a football blitz and night out on Saturday 01 June and a special Mass in St Clare’s Church on Saturday evening 01 June at 6.30pm. POPE JOHN PAUL 11 AWARDS
Congratulations to eleven of our young people who recently received their Pope John Paul 11 award after twelve months of hard work. Jodie Regan, Lauren Abbey, Shanice Walker, Zoe Barrett, Niamh Smith, Emma Nolan, Lorraine Doogue, Sarah Nolan and Josh McGuill all received the Gold Award while Grace Byrne and Sarah Geary both received the Papal Cross Award after their second year of dedication to the award. Their achievement will be recognised at Mass on Saturday 16 February in St. Clare’s Church.

SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM
The Parish is offering a Baptism Preparation Evening to all parents seeking Baptism for their child. This meeting will take place once a month in our Parish Centre from 7pm to 8.30pm on Monday 25 February and Monday 25 March. While this evening is optional, we strongly encourage parents to avail of the meeting as we are anxious to assist them in any way we can at this special time.
KILLESHIN FC LOTTO
There was no winner of the recent lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 05, 10, 23 and 30. The four lucky dip winners were; Hugh c/o Colm Fitzgerald, Sandra Byrne, Marion Reddy, and Jack Denn each received €25 and the seller’s prize of €25 was won by Brendan Fitzpatrick. The Jackpot now stands at €8,000 and tickets are on sale for €2 from any club member or in the local shop and public houses.

Killeshin Soccer Club are holding their Fifth annual table quiz in the Talbot Hotel, Carlow on Thursday 07 February. The quiz starts at 9pm sharp with a table of four costing €40. This night has always been a great success and your continued support is greatly appreciated.

ST BRIGID’S CROSSES
Our young ministry group have made St Brigid’s crosses. These will be available after all Masses this weekend. All donations for the crosses will go towards our Parish Youth Ministry Fund.

EVERGREEN’S HOLIDAY 2013
The annual holiday commences on Monday 10 June for four nights, five days, staying in the Four Seasons Hotel, in Carlingford, Co. Louth. Cost €300.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word takes place on each Sunday at the 11.30am Mass in St Clare’s. We invite all children between four years and first class to join us for our Sunday school. Our aim is to introduce the children to the Mass by taking part in activities appropriate to their age. These activities will take place in the parish centre and will be supervised by adults and students from our second level schools.

SUPPORT CHILDREN WITH AUTISM
Saplings School for Children with Autism are delighted to announce that they have produced their ‘Carlow of Old’ calendar again this year. The calendar was very well received last year and this year they have included a new set of old pictures from different areas around Carlow from the 50’s and 60’s. It is ideal gift for family and friends especially for anyone abroad at a cost of €5.
