The Swan Road Action Group was set up in 2012, with its main objectives being the removal of bad bends on the Swan road and the construction of a footpath which would ultimately make our road a safer one for all users.

To date, through correspondence and co-operation with Laois County Council significant progress has been made. The next step in the plan is the extension of the footpath beyond the Harps GAA grounds.

To help fund this project a family walk/cycle will be held on Sunday June 15, leaving Bobs Bar at 3pm.

The cost will be €10 per adult while children are free. Registration from 2pm at Bob’s Bar. Free draw for all children who register on the day. An evening of fun and craic guaranteed, with music by Lee Campion’s band ‘Drops of Green’. Please support.
