THE CYMS have ran a juvenile billiard tournament in memory of Maurice Holohan. This was possible with the generosity of Maurice’s daughter whom provided the club with a magnificent shield and two plaques. One for the winner and one for the runner up. he tournament was ran over a four week period with thirty four competitors each player with excellent enthusiasm most of all the two finalists. Jonathon Whyte and Evan Treacy. In the final both players had an excellent game, sadly there can only be one winner and the honour went to Evan Treacy, Evan is the grandson of Maurice which was very fitting on the night. Maurice would have be very proud of him. Commiseration to Jonathon he had an excellent game. We hope to have many more tournaments in future. The hall has reduced its opening nights to Monday and Friday nights for the summer and will re-open five nights of the week in September. The committee would like to thank everyone for the generous support over the year it was very much appreciated.

A great bingo is held every Tuesday night at 8.30 in the Rathdowney Community Centre. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
