The association would like to thank everyone for their kind generosity with their church gate collection. This annual fundraiser is distributed to various charities, and raised €465.00. Thank you for your continued support.

Summer Harvest Dance

Summer Harvest Dance is in St Mary’s Hall, Clonaghadoo on Thursday August 21 at 9pm.

Sponsored walk

The Slieve Bloom Association annual sponsored walk takes place on Sunday, August 24. Meet in Clonaslee at 2pm for a walk around Brittas Lake. SLIEVE BLOOM ASSOC ANNUAL TOUR

Bus tour is on Saturday August 30 leaving Portlaoise at 7.30am via Mountmellick, Rosenallis, Clonaslee, Cadamstown and Kinnitty. Visiting Portumna Castle then Clonmacnoise where refreshments are served, then on to Athlone Castle followed by a Viking tour on the Shannon. Finishing with dinner in the Hudson Bay Hotel. Slieve Bloom walk

As part of National Heritage Week, a wildlife walk takes place in the Ridge of Capard with ranger Jason Monaghan, on August 26, from 2 to 4pm. Call 9368878 for more details or see www.npws.ie.
