Clonaslee St Stephen’s Day Walk in aid of Laois Hospice committee extends a sincere thanks to everyone who ventured out in such inclement weather to participate in their annual walk.

Despite the weather, huge crowds in colourful raingear headed for the hills!

Sincere thanks to all the volunteers who helped out in any way to make the day a wonderful success.

The recent collection for the Christmas lights has to date collected €750. Thank you to all and those who gave private donations and to the collectors.


The advance beginners patchwork quilt classes will be resume on Wednesday January 14 at the usual times. A beginner’s class will start on Tuesday January 13 and Thursday January 15.

The Knit and Chat club will resume on Monday January 12. New knitters are more than welcome to join.


The branch have a beginner button accordions to rent for a year and one fiddle being able to rent for the year which gives the child good chance to see if they like the instrument before the parent go to buy one themselves.
