The Stradbally Parish Vintage Club are holding their annual Vintage Rally on Sunday, June 24 in the Lawn. Fun for all the family.

A hundred and one competitors came to the Lawn, Stradbally for the Community Games Athletics track finals last Wednesday. The results were as follows:-

Monavea on Sunday, June 10. A bus will leave Timahoe at 10.50 am and Stradbally at 11.00am, cost €3. Those coming by car should be there at 11.40am to collect their green shirt and

numbers. The parade will begin at 12 noon.

Cemetery masses will take place in Moyanna on Wednesday, June 20 at 7.30pm, Oakvale Thursday June 21 at 7.30pm and in Timahoe on Friday, June 22 also at 7.30pm.


Laois County Council is delighted to announce that President Michael D Higgins and his wife Sabina Higgins, will visit the Arthouse and Library in Stradbally on Wednesday, June 13 at 5pm.

Guests will be required to assemble at 4.40pm on the day. Entrance for all guests to the Arthouse will be via the Timahoe Road, Stradbally. Everyone is asked to please not use the

main library entrance as it will be closed to the public.


The Annual General Meeting of the Fianna Fail Cumann will be held on Friday, June 8 in the Old School commencing at 8.30pm. TD and Councillor will attend.


Sunflower Day is on Friday, June 8 2012 in aid of Laois Hospice. All monies collected local stay local. Your support will be much appreciated.


Annual Outing of the Stradbally Flower & Garden Club is on Saturday, June 30th to The Altamiont Gardens in Tullow with guided tour of the Walled in Garden then on to Nicholas Mosse

Pottery, Kilkenny Castle and winding up the day with a three course meal in River Court Hotel Kilkenny. There will also be some stops on the way for refreshments. The are some seats left on

The Irish speaking summer camp for 12-16 year olds, to hit Timahoe this summer July 23 to August 4 in Timahoe Hall. Fun games, drama, art, sport - all in an Irish speaking environment.

Stradbally Family Fair will be held at The Lawn on Sunday, July 1.


Every Saturday from 10am-12.30pm. Selling home baking, sweet and savoury, vegetables, preserves, crafts, jewellery etc. Tea and coffee also served on the morning, so go along and have

a look around.


Next whist drive will take place on Friday, June 15 commencing at 8.30pm sharp and all welcome.

A Procession will take (Corpus Christi) June 10 starting at the Arthouse, Court Square, Stradbally at 11am to the Church for 11.30am Mass. First Communion children from Stradbally and

Vicarstown to lead the Procession. Refreshments after Mass in St Colmsn’s School.


The group will hold their AGM on Monday, June 11 at 8.15pm. in the Old Community Centre and all members to attend. Mary Daly, A.R.A. Regional Officer will attend.
