The Novena to our Lady of Perpetual Help runs each Wednesday at 7.30pm from February 19 to April 16. The 9-week Novena in SS Peter and Paul’s Church gets underway with Fr Brian D’Arcy.

Condolences to the family of the late Ellen Patty Roe (nee Kilbride) of St Brigid’s Place, Portlaoise,who died on February 1 at Drominin Nursing home, peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Dinny, and dearly loved mother of Marie, Pat, Ben, Noel, Denise, and Karen. Deeply regretted by sister Lily, brother Lar, extended family, relatives,neighbours and friends. Reposed at her residence. Removal to SS Peter and Paul’s church for requiem mass followed by interment in SS Peter and Pauls Cemetery Portlaoise.


Condolences to the family of the late Peter Klastornaja of 3 Millbrook, Portlaoise, who passed away unexpectedly on February 2. Deeply mourned by his parents; his girlfriend Alina and his many friends. Peter remains will go home to his native Riga, Latvia for burial.
