The Parish lotto jackpot is now heading for €14,750 and it would be lovely jackpot to win. On April 4 the jackpot was €14,450 and it was not won, small winners were 30 euro Ruth Cronin, 25 euro Laura Goode and 20 euro Angela Spencer

The lotto of Monday night April 28 will be in Peadar’s Bar with a possible jackpot of 14,750euro. All tickets must be handed in before 9.30 pm on the night of the draw to be included in that jackpot

The mobile unit of the Irish Blood Transfusion Service will visit Durrow on Thursday April 24, 2014 from 4.30 pm to 8 pm. The venue is Castle Arms Hotel.

With over 3000 units of blood donations needed every week in Ireland we appeal to everyone who can donate to come to the Castle Arms Hotel and donate blood.

Your donation can and will give the gift of life to someone in need. New donors are always welcome and lapsed donors are also encouraged to come.

Mini Marathon

Anyone who wishes to travel by bus to the Flora Women’s Mini Marathon on June Bank Holiday Monday should give their name and a deposit of 10 euro’s to guarantee a seat. As seats are limited it would be advisable to book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. All bookings are through Susan Lawlor at Lawlor’s Gala.

Congratulations to Conall Whelan who won the 2nd/3rd year National Schools orienteering event at Emo Court on Tuesday April 8. Conall had stiff opposition beating two junior Irish Squad members for the win. Conall is delighted to add another win for St. Kieran’s College this week.

Durrow/Cullohill Parish Anglers next Competition will be for the Mick O’Rourke Memorial trophy for trout fishing and it will take place on Sunday April 27, 2014. Entries will be taken at Lawlor’s Flower shop from 9.30 am.


The Killermogh Parish monthly whist drive will be held in the Parochial Hall, Cork Road, Durrow on Thursday night April 24, starting at 8.30pm.
