At a very well attended meeting of the Passion Play Group Bernie Dunne was appointed producer for Passion Play 2015 in Ballylinan. Bernie replaces Síle Graham who had directed the previous 5 productions. Enthusiasm abounded from all present for the project and the next general meeting for all involved in Passion Play 2015 will take place at 8pm in St. Ann’s Hall, Ballylinan, on Tuesday, November 25. Roles will be allocated at this meeting – a full attendance is vitally important as rehearsals will commence the following week.


A Christmas Monster Parish Bingo will take place on next Sunday 23 November at 3pm in Graiguecullen Hall. There will be super money to be won on the day. Everyone welcome and bring a friend


Parish Evergreens/Senior Citizens Annual Christmas Dinner will take place on Sunday, December 8 at 1pm in the Talbot Hotel. All senior citizens from the parish are invited. Admission is free but those who wish to attend must collect their ticket from the Parish Centre.


Table Quiz in aid of Graiguecullen/Killeshin Lourdes Invalid Fund will be held in the Thatch Bar, Graiguecullen on Friday next 21 November. Teams of 4 costs €40 and your support would be greatly appreciated


Killeshin FC Whist Night every Wednesday night at 8.30pm in the Old Den beside Killeshin Hall. Entry is only €5 per person and all are welcome. Refreshments served. Beginners from 7.30pm to 8pm.

Killeshin FC recent lotto results. Numbers drawn were 02, 16, 18 and 24, there was no winner. €25 lucky dip winners were Michelle Brennan, Paul Hickey, Tracy Curran and Joe McDonald, The seller’s prize went to Bryan Lawlor. The Jackpot now stands at €8,200.


Killeshin Community Development AGM on be held on Wednesday 03 December at 7.30pm in the Den and all welcome. The Den is a community based not for profit childcare.


St Clare’s Hospitality-Food Kitchen wish to announce that from Wednesday 12 November all food parcels will be delivered by our volunteers and will no longer be distributed from St Fiacc’s Hall. If anyone knows a family who could do with a parcel please contact the Parish Centre at 0599141833.

The Society of St Vincent de Paul “Vincent’s “ shop at 46 Tullow Street Carlow urgently needs donations of small furniture items, household goods, bric-a-brac, good quality clothes and any unwanted presents you may have put away at the back of the wardrobe. Donations will be gratefully received in the shop Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm. The Society would like to thank everyone for supporting the shop during the past year.


The next meeting of the Liturgy Group will be this Thursday 20 November at 7.30pm in the Parish Centre.

The annual Mass to remember all our parishioners who died during the past year and all family members who died during the past year will be celebrated on Friday 28 November at 7.30pm in St Clare’s.


Fiacc’s House Annual Draw will take place on Monday 15 December. Cards available from Fiacc’s House or ring Margo on 086 3981213. This is their main fundraiser for the year and new promoters are always very welcome.


The names of the faithful departed who parishioners would like remembered and prayed for during November can be handed into the parish office or placed in the November Sacred Space. A sheet and envelope are provided in the box of church envelopes and all loved ones who have died will be remembered at all our Masses during November.


Carlow Fibromyalgia Support group will host a free information afternoon on fibromyalgia in the Seven Oaks hotel Carlow on Saturday November 29 from 3 to 5 pm. The aim of this information afternoon is to help people suffering with fibromyalgia, their families and friends gain a better knowledge of the condition. Also it is hoped that those who attend would gain better skills at coping with the pain caused by fibromyalgia and learn to live more positively and productively..Call Katharine 089 4387283, Mary 086 1693887.


New rotas for readers in St Clare’s and Holy Cross Churches are currently being drawn up. Any of the present readers who wish to be taken off the new rotas are asked to contact the Parish office 0599141833. New readers are also welcome and are asked to contact the parish office.


St. Fiacc’s House Library open for lending Monday to Friday from 10am to 12 noon from Monday last. This is a free service and all people from the Parish are welcome to come and borrow a book and donate your used books if you wish.


The Graiguecullen women’s group has resumed on Wednesdays in the Lazy River Cafe at 7.30pm. New members always welcome


St Clare’s Children’s Choir, on Mondays from 4.30pm to 5.30pm in the Parish Centre. The choir is open to all primary school children and first year secondary school students. New members more than welcome. Parish Youth Choir has resumed on Saturdays from 12.45 to 2pm in the Parish Centre. The choir is open to all secondary school students and young adults. Musicians also very welcome.


Thursday Morning Club has resumed after the 10am Mass in St Clare’s. People are invited to come to the Parish Centre for tea or coffee and some friendly chat.


Carlow County Development Partnership (CCDP) can provide many supports for older people: Care and Repair Programme, Warmer Homes Scheme, Monthly Column for Older People published monthly, Recreational Activities and Community Group Training Information Sessions, Carlow Older Persons Network and Carlow Age Friendly Initiative
