If you are interested in joining our winning teams at St Fintan’s GAA Club Mountrath. All ages are catered for from 6 years and upwards. Meet new friends and get plenty of exercise. Training times are U6 & U8s from 6pm -7pm, U10s from 7pm - 8pm, U16 & Minors from 8pm - 9pm and all adults from 9pm - 10pm. New players more than welcome.


St Fintan’s BNS & Scoil Bhríde enrolments for all boys & girls commencing school in 2015 in the above schools, will take place from

Mondays 2 to Friday 6 February. Parents are asked to call to the schools to collect enrolment forms and bring along child’s birth cert also.


The above committee would like to invite people to enter a float into this year’s parade which will be held on St. Partick’s day March 17. Beginners bridge classes will be held in the community centre, Ballyfin. Classes will be given by a fully accredited teacher with The Contract Bridge association of Ireland. For further details contact Catherine 086-3946335.


Mountrath GAA lotto results. numbers drawn on Monday 19 were 3,8,12,23 and there was no winner. Next weeks jackpot is €3,600 and the lotto draw will take place on Monday 26 in Eddie Kirwan’s pub. Also the All County Clubs Members Draw tickets are available from any committee member There is still plenty of time to purchase one as first of the four monthly draws takes place on March 6 with first prize each month being €10,000. Indoor training continues every Wednesday night in Mountrath Community School hall from 6pm. Times for each age group are - U6/U8 6-7pm, U10 7-8pm, U16/Minor 8-9pm and Adult training from 9-10pm. It’s not too late to join in!! Just a reminder that membership is now due, membership for 2015 is - €20 for non players, €30 for adult players and €10 per juvenile or €20 for two or more juveniles in a family.


The sale of jam continues in Costcutters Mountrath and Phelan’s Shop Castletown. We would like to thank everyone for their continuing support for this worthy cause by buying jam and donating fruit.


The outdoor gym in the local amenity park can be used by all ages. We would encourage all local clubs and groups to use this facility.
