The Club are at the moment selling the annual Laois County Board tickets, These tickets are the most important part of the financial year for the club and are available from any club member. They are €130 each and can be paid for by direct debit and instalments, We understand that it is a big ask during these lean times but your support is very much appreciated.


Met last Friday as normal, and our elected officers attended the annual regional conference in Portlaoise last Sunday.


Please help keep the village clean and tidy during the last few days of winter coming into the spring time.


The Annual general meeting of the combined parish juvenile teams is on this Thursday, January 31 at 8pm in the Stradbally GAA clubhouse. All those interested in getting involved with local teams please attend. It’s important that the youth of the village get an opportunity to play Football, so if you want to get involved please attend.

Electrical recycling

There will be a free collection by WEEE Ireland of electrictal items on Thursday, February 7 – St Michael’s Church car park, Timahoe, 9am-12pm. Supported by Laois County Council, this allows people to get rid of any household electrical equipment and batteries in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. There are other days around the county throughout February.


A proposal to incorporate the Gathering initiative with Medley day was brought up recently, following the allocation of €1000 from the Gathering movement. A meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 5 at 9pm in the Tower Inn regarding same. It is proposed to invite all people with connections to Timahoe to attend the event and rekindle old memories and share stories and to bring new exciting events to our annual day. Anyone that would like to meet up, help and discuss this event, please attend.
