ASTRONOMY LOVERS
Stargazers are expected to come out in force when members of the Midlands Astronomy Club attend the Library in Stradbally on Saturday,
November 16. Members of the club will give talks, and weather permitting, practical demonstrations on Astronomy. The event co-incides with Midlands Festival of Science running from 11 to 17 November.
STRADBALLY COUNTRY MARKET AND CHRISTMAS FAIR
Get into the festive spirit at the Stradbally Country Market Christmas Fair on this Saturday, December 7. 10.30am - 4pm in St Patrick’s Hall, Stradbally. The country market movement is a community development project. There are presently 20 members, all from Stradbally and neighbouring parishes. Produce on offer includes home baking (breads, scones, biscuits, cakes and desserts), preserves (jams, jellies, chutneys and pickles), savouries (quiches, and lasagnes), cut flowers, herbs, fresh fruit (in season), vegetables and salads. Free-range eggs, locally-produced honey, arts and crafts, and fuel (timber, turf and kindling) are also regularly supplied. We are holding a Christmas draw in aid of the local branch of St Vincent De Paul. Do drop in for mulled wine and mince pies.

Stradbally Flower and Garden Club are holding their monthly meeting on Wednesday, November 6 in St Joseph’s Hall Stradbally. There will be
a demonstration on the night given by members and also names will be taken for the Christmas night out at this meeting. This is an open
night.

STRADBALLY GAA ANNUAL NIGHT OUT
Stradbally GAA are holding their annual end of year night on Saturday, November 9 in Dunnes pub. There will be music and food on the night as well as a draw for 15 prizes of €100 for anyone who bought a €130 ticket during the year. The club encourage all club members to come along for what will be a thoroughly enjoyable enening.

Carmel McLinden will be coming to the old Community Centre in Vicarstown on November 13 to give a demonstration on dried flowers arrangements and Christmas arrangements. Also they will finalise their trip to Mount Wolsley Hotel, Tullow for the Phil Coulter show.
