Due to unforeseen circumstances, the meeting of the Slieve Bloom Association has been deferred to Thursday, June 19 at 8.30pm in the Green School, Rosenallis. Look us up on Facebook or our website


All masses will be at 8pm as follows: June 6 Clonaslee cemetery; June 20 Corrigeen cemetery; June 27 Kilmanman cemetery.


Music and singing session on Friday June 6 in the Parochial Hall Clonaslee at 8.30pm. Everyone welcome to join in. 


The amount collected from our church gate collection was €410.31. We wish to thank everyone for their generous support.


Music classes continue weekly until June 26 in the Community Centre from 4.15 pm on Thursdays. Beginners welcome.


Circuit training is now on Saturdays in the Community Centre from 10 – 11 am. This training is suitable for male or females and caters for all levels of fitness, from beginners to the advances. Cost is €7 and all welcome to join in.


Judging for the litter challenge is starting. We appeal to all business people to sweep at night or early in the morning. One butt on the sidewalks and Clonaslee is gone. Last year we were knocked out on the first round. Thank you for your support.


New opening hours for the Heritage Centre are as follows: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 12.30pm to 2.30pm and closed on Friday. The library will be open during those hours.


Work evenings on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting at the Heritage Centre at 6pm each week so if anyone has an hour to spare please come along.


Phone the number on the Community Alert signs if you are worried about anything or see any suspicious. Text alert is up and running, you can still sign up by contacting chairperson Matt Barrett. Be vigilant and check on your elderly neighbours.


The Social Services bingo is on Wednesdays from 2 – 4 pm in the Heritage Centre. Come along for bingo, chat and a cuppa.


‘Work4You’ set up by Acquired Brain Injury Ireland provides a free assessment for individuals who have an acquired brain injury and would like assistance in returning to work. Pop-up information Stand in Mountmellick Library on Tuesday June 3, 2pm -4pm. All welcome. For more call 044 9338773
