Castlecuffe National School’s recent clothing collection was a great success. Thanks to all who donated items.
The weekly social dance lessons with teacher Maureen Culleton have resumed on Tuesdays from 8 to 9.30pm in the Community Centre. No partner is needed, just come and learn how to dance.
A meeting of Community Alert will be on Monday October 21 at 8.30pm in the Community Centre. All members please attend and everyone welcome as text alert message to be discussed. Please be vigilant as a lot of robberies have taken place and a lot of callers to houses in recent weeks, don’t entertain them. Elderly people please press your panic button if you’re concerned and use your peep holes.
Music classes continue on Thursdays in the Community Centre from 5pm. Instruments taught are tin whistle, button accordion, piano accordion, fiddle, flute, banjo and keyboard. All ages catered both children and adults. Set dancing in the Parochial Hall every Thursday, children from 7pm to 8pm and adults 8pm to 9.30pm with teacher Maureen Culleton. Singing every Saturday 10 am to 11 am in the Parochial Hall with teacher Sarah Conway.
Second hand school uniforms now available in the Heritage Centre on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 11.30am – 2.30pm and Thursday from 12 noon to 3pm at a low cost.
The Social Services bingo is on Wednesdays from 2 – 4pm in the Heritage Centre. Join us for bingo, chat and a cuppa.
On the second and fourth Sunday of the month starting at 2.30pm in the Parish Hall. Cost €2. All welcome to join in the fun.

The influenza vaccine is recommended for those who are aged 65 years plus, and younger people in particular ‘at risk’ groups, and is free to those groups. People aged 18 years or older may attend their GP or pharmacist while under 18 years must attend their GP. People who do not have a medical card or GP visit card, will be charged a consultation fee.
