Derrylamogue NS Christmas Concert
The school Christmas Concert will take place on Wednesday December 17 at 7pm in Macra Hall, Mountmellick.
The Christmas Auction will be held in the Green School today Tuesday December 16 at 7.30pm. Everything from Christmas trees and logs to cattle and sheep, turkeys and bric a brac for sale. Cake sale beforehand.

Holy Cross Abbey Trip

Late Edward Farrell
Condolences to the family of the late Edward (Ned) Farrell of Lacken, Rosenallis who died suddenly on December 8. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Marie, daughter Ruth Walsh, sons Edward (Alabama), Kenneth, Benny, brothers, sisters, extended family, relatives, neighbours and many friends and colleagues at Laois County Council where he worked as a member of the council’s outdoor staff. Ned was laid to rest on Thursday. The thoughts and prayers of the community are with his family.
Late Philip LEECH
Condolences to the family of the late Philip Leech, Rynn, Rosenallis who passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 7 surrounded by his heartbroken parents George and Moira and his loving brothers and sisters Joan, Helen, Alan, Kenneth, James and Noel. Brother of the late George. Deeply regretted by extended family, relatives, neighbours and many friends. Philip was laid to rest on Wednesday in St. Brigid’s cemetery. Donations if desired to Muscular Dystrophy Ireland. The thoughts and prayers of the community are with his family at this sad time.
