Killeshin FC recent lotto results, the numbers drawn were 02, 08, 14 and 25. There was no Jackpot winner. €25 lucky dip winners were Alannah O’Rourke, The Three Amigos, Ella and Cara Waddock and Cillian Dempsey. Seller’s prize went to Paul Lillis. Jackpot now stands st €1,100.

Killeshin FC Whist Night every Wednesday night at 8.30pm in the Old Den beside Killeshin Hall. Entry is only €5 per person and all are welcome. Refreshments served. Beginners from 7.30pm to 8pm.


Big Rambling Night will be held in St Fiacc’s House on this Tuesday 16 December.


This quarterly collection for the support of the Priests of the Parish will be taken up at all Masses on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Special envelopes are provided in the boxes or alternatively envelopes are available at the Church doors.


St Clare’s Hospitality Volunteers now deliver over 150 food parcels each week to families who are struggling. To continue to provide this service we urgently need your help. As a way of making the Advent season more meaningful we ask people to place a non-perishable food item each week in the baskets in our churches and this will be a great help to us in making up the parcels.


“Hope in a Box” aims to put together a box of essentials to keep homeless people warm this winter. We are looking for donations of hats, scarfs. gloves, socks jumpers etc. and they would also like some toiletries brush comb deodorant baby wipes. A live RTE televised New Year’s Mass will take place on Sunday, January 4 at 11am in St Clare’s Church. This will replace the usual 11.30am Mass on that day. The six choirs from the parish plus the Poor Clare Sisters will be involved under the guidance of Fr Liam and we hope as many as possible will attend for what we hope to be a joyful and prayerful parish event.

St VdeP appeal

The Society of St Vincent de Paul “Vincent’s “ shop at 46 Tullow Street Carlow urgently needs donations of small furniture items, household goods, bric-a-brac, good quality clothes and any unwanted presents you may have put away at the back of the wardrobe. Donations will be gratefully received in the shop Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm. The Society would like to thank everyone for supporting the shop during the past year.

St. Fiacc’s House Library open for lending Monday to Friday from 10am to 12 noon from Monday last. This is a free service and all people from the Parish are welcome to come and borrow a book and donate your used books if you wish.


The Graiguecullen women’s group has resumed on Wednesdays in the Lazy River Cafe at 7.30pm. New members always welcome


St Clare’s Children’s Choir, on Mondays from 4.30pm to 5.30pm in the Parish Centre. The choir is open to all primary school children and first year secondary school students. New members more than welcome. Parish Youth Choir has resumed on Saturdays from 12.45 to 2pm in the Parish Centre. The choir is open to all secondary school students and young adults. Musicians also very welcome.


Thursday Morning Club has resumed after the 10am Mass in St Clare’s. People are invited to come to the Parish Centre for tea or coffee and some friendly chat.

The Éist Carlow Cancer Support Centre is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays from 9.30am to 4pm daily. The Centre offers support to people and their families who have received a cancer diagnosis including Counselling, Reflexology, Yoga etc. The Centre also runs a walking programme ‘Strides for Life’ at the St Laurence O’Toole Athletic Club each Thursday morning at 11.00a.m.
