WORKING WITH WOOL
Knitting/crochet circle held every Monday, 2 - 4.30pm, excluding bank holidays, at the Cuan Bhride Centre, Morrreville, Rathdowney. From complete beginners to experienced knitters, all learning from one another, knitted garments are proudly worn by members and their families. Along the way, unwanted wool and needles were donated to the group. This enabled members, in their spare time, to knit a number of garments that were sold and an amount of €500 was donated to the Friends of the General Hospital Portlaoise. Baby hats and blankets were donated to baby care units located in a number of hospitals. A very big thank you to all those who have sponsored and supported us in any way. Should you, man or woman over the age of 18, feel you would like to join us, you will be made very welcome. There is a small fee of €2 on attendance to cover the cost of insurance, etc. No charge, for the chat and laughter.
