The festival is running until July 31. This is the year of The Gathering and organisers are delighted to invite all to walk with visiting French walkers from July 18 to July 21. slieve bloom talk

On Monday July 29 in the Arts Centre Mountmellick, Dr John Feehan will give a talk on the ‘Heritage of the Slieve Bloom’ - its natural & human heritage. Foundation of Mountmellick

Contrary to popular belief, Mountmellick was not founded by the Quakers. Mountmellick was officially created on February 12, 1631 - almost 30years before William Edmundson, the Father of Quakerism in Ireland, arrived in Mountmellick. If you’d like to know more, make sure you reserve a seat at ‘Foundation of Mountmellick & Rosenallis and their Quaker Heritage Talk’ during Heritage Week on Friday 23 August. A Night at the Dogs

Rosenallis GAA are holding a Night at the dogs fundraiser & Buster Draw, winning ticket receives €1000. on Saturday July 27 in Mullingar Greyhound Stadium. Doors open at 6.30pm First Race at 8pm. Tickets €20 available from players & committee members.
