Castlecuffe NS is having a clothing collection on Wednesday September 25. Recycle and support our National School. Please bring the following in any condition as long as they are clean: new and used clothing, shoes, belts, handbags, ties, linens household textiles, stuffed toys. Mobile phones in a separate bag. Items must be at the school by 9:30 am on Wednesday.

A big thank you to Paddy Bates for a lively and interesting talk about different aspects of Clonaslee History. The Heritage Centre was filled with people from all areas of Clonaslee who were encouraged to participate with their own memories as Paddy showed slides and video clips of interviews from 1985.


The Clonaslee Parent Toddler group is back on Tuesdays in the Community Centre from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. Cost is €3 per family. Parents, grandparents and child minders of children 0 to 5 years old all welcome. For queries contact Maureen on 087-691-9056.


Clonaslee Show Society will meet tonight, Tuesday September 17 at 8:30 pm in the Community Centre. All helpers, gate people, car parkers, etc are asked to please attend the post mortem on the show.


Clonaslee Basketball Club are holding a final registration night at Clonaslee Community Centre on Friday September 20 from 5pm – 7pm. A parent/guardian must be present when registering as all members must be registered to play. Anyone wishing to join, come along we look forward to seeing you. Anyone who has already registered but still has fees due, may also pay on the night. A big thank you to everyone who contributed and helped out on our collection day on September 1. The money will go towards some much needed equipment.

Music classes every Thursday 5.30 to 7.30 in the Community Centre. Singing classes every Saturday 10 to 11am in the Parochial Hall. Set dancing starting Thursday September 19 in the Parochial Hall; juniors 7 to 8 pm and seniors 8 to 9.30 pm. Culture night is Friday September 20 with music, singing and dancing in the Heritage Centre 8 – 10 pm. All welcome to join in.
