Landmark building proposed as car park goes.

A new plan commissioned by Laois County Council for Portlaoise's future proposes that an underground car park could replace all surface car parking on Lyster Square Portlaoise.
The consultants believe that it should be replaced by a public space including landscaping, pedestrian areas and a canopy on part of the square near Bank of Ireland.
