TDs have begun debating the possible introduction of a four-day working week for people in Ireland.

The four-day work week aims to promotes a better work-life balance focused on measuring productivity output rather than time input.

A Dáil committee is consulting with representatives from Four Day Week Ireland (4DWI) and the Irish Business and Employers Confederation (IBEC) and others to gauge opinion.
