Our penultimate Sports Star of the Month poll for 2018 is here, and we have four excellent nominees once again in the running for the award.

The four nominees are detailed below, and the poll will remain live until 1pm on Friday afternoon.

---

TOMMY FITZGERALD

The Portlaoise veteran played some of the best hurling of his career in November, as he guided Portlaoise to a Leinster club IHC final appearance with wins over Glenealy and Ballinamere, before they were edged out by Graigue-Ballycallan in the final in early December.

---

SARAH FLEMING

An incredible feat of sporting commitment from the Portlaoise girl in November. Early in the month, in the midst of a fixture clash, she played a basketball game in Dublin on a Sunday morning, hopped in a car at half time to travel to Ballacolla for the Laois minor camogie final, and then left straight after that game to go back to Dublin and play another basketball game. She helped Portlaoise Panthers into a national cup quarter-final, and is also a regular on the Laois minor camogie team.

---

MARY MULHARE

Another Laois Cross Country senior title for Mary in November, which she then followed up with a top 15 finish in the national cross country, which saw her lead the Laois team to a brilliant bronze medal.

---

EMMA HOOBAN

A major milestone in the Portlaoise girl's rugby career was reached in November. Having quickly established herself at senior level with Leinster, she was called up to the Irish senior squad last month. She made her debut off the bench against the USA, before then making her first start in Twickenham against England.

Best of luck to all candidates, and don't forget to vote before 1pm on Friday.
