A glamorous Laois GAA wedding took place last weekend, uniting two proud club players who have also represented their county.
Sarah Quigley from Timahoe and Niall Mullen from Mountmellick tied the knot at Timahoe church.
The big wedding included five bridesmaids and groomsmen, including All Ireland champions Laois Ladies football champions Aisling Donoher, sister of the bride, and Mo Nerney who both also play with Sarah in Timahoe LGFA. More below photos.
Sarah and Niall have lots in common besides a love of gaelic football and both playing for Laois at county level.
They were born on the same day in the Portlaoise hospital, hours apart. They work for the same investments company, appropriately called Fidelity.
Niall recently played on the winning team in the Division 3 League final, and his best man Darren Fitzpatrick was captain, so Darren had two big speeches to make days apart. The best friends have never not played on the same team even in college.
Parents of the happy couple are Brendan and Audrey Quigley, Timahoe and Tommy and Helen Mullen, Mountmellick.
The bridesmaids were Sarah's sisters Aisling and Carol, Emma Norton, Ally Duff and Orlaith Quigley.
Groomsmen were Eoin George, Matt Dowling, Laurence Kenny and Eoin Hogan.
Proving their fidelity to sport, the happy couple are deferring their big honeymoon until October after the football season.
