Kristina Melne, proprietor of World of Sparkles in Mountmellick
A Laois boutique owner has shocked her customers with the news that she is closing down.
Krystina runs the World of Sparkles boutique in Mountmellick on O'Moore Street.
On Thursday, October 5, she announced online that she is closing down, and holding a sale of remaining stock.
Her shop which sells ladies fashions, shoes and accessories, recently took part in the Holman Lee fashion shows in the National Ploughing Championships.
Krystina has been a regular supporter of many local charity events.
Her announcement has received hundreds of comments of regret and well wishes.
"Unfortunately we had to come with this sad decision. Really been enjoying it. Loving every minute and put my heart in this shop," Krystina said.
"There'll be nothing left in this town, at the rate doors are closing so sorry to hear this World of Sparkles Boutique," one local customer said.
"Very saddened to see this post World of Sparkles Boutique I've been kitted out for the last three weddings by you and your lovely helpful staff...Such a pity to see you close Thanks for giving us the opportunity to shop local with great choices...you will be missed Very best of luck for the future x," another customer wrote.
The shop will continue to open for another eight weeks during the closing down sale, the proprietor said.
"Still operating as normal. Giving time to organise everything and spend the vouchers," Ms Melne said.
