There was immense Laois pride in Portlaoise on Friday, March 7 when the new Midland Steel steel fabrication plant was officially opened by Minister for Enterprise, Tourism & Employment, Peter Burke at the Laois County Council developed J17 National Business Park. The €16 million facility will create 62 jobs over the next three years. Photographer Alf Harvey supplied photos from the event to the Leinster Express / Laois Live.
