The future is bright for young business entrepreneurs in a Portlaoise secondary school.

The Dunamase College was well represented at the recent Student Enterprise Awards in the Midlands Park Hotel recently. More below photographs.

Business projects which won Special Merit awards include Repurposed Records (repurposing records into bookends, clocks and more) , Kozy Kutz (wooden tea light holders) and The Merka Shop who made handmade crochet and candles.

The school congratulates their prize winners and all who took part.

"Our students had a great day. It was a brilliant chance to mingle with other mini-company groups and share ideas, receive invaluable feedback from the judges and meet Una Sinnott, the entrepreneur behind Nutorious Nutrition. Thanks to Local
Enterprise Office Laois for organising a great day. We look forward to seeing what the future holds of the entrepreneurs of Dunamase College," they stated.
