Joyous 10th birthday celebrations took place at Portlaoise Mens Shed last weekend, with the Laois Rose Sinead Dowd among the special guests.
The club which welcomes men of all ages with time on their hands to enjoy activities and social interaction, held a day of music, chat and refreshments at their base on the Timahoe Road. Read our full interview with member Ray Harte below.

The club has polytunnels, a woodworking studio, a model train village, a full size snooker table, and a ukelele and singing group.
New members are welcome, drop into their base, open Tuesday 11am - 4pm and Thursday 11am - 4pm.
