A Laois committee who have cared for a 6th century religious abbey for 50 years, have celebrated a golden anniverary of toil with a wonderful concert of music and stories.
Aghaboe Abbey committee held a public concert in the Hawthorn Community Hall in Ballacolla on Sunday, April 7, with artists giving their time for free. They included Castlecomer Male Voice Choir, Martin Delaney, Michael Creagh, Camross Comhaltas, Tina Cuddy and Na Riadhóirí from Ballacolla. Full story next week. Photos by Alf Harvey.
