IN PICTURES: Rainbows out in Laois to support Autism charity LOFFA

Businesses and schools making it the biggest Rainbow Day yet

The fourth annual Rainbow Day for Laois Offaly Families for Autism (LOFFA) has brought joy and colour and much needed funds for the volunteer run charity.

From late April into the May Bank Holiday weekend, businesses, schools and creches in Laois have been holding their Rainbow Day fundraisers. Scroll through this great gallery of photos by clicking NEXT. More story below pictures.

The day has become an essential support to LOFFA's work, subsidising therapies, organising social gatherings and helping families of people with Autism across both counties.

Breda Murray is Chairperson of LOFFA.

"We have nearly 50 more businesses on board this year, bringing it to the 200 mark which is amazing. Schools are going above and beyond too, the kids all love it, it's a fun day. Our thanks to everybody for their support, and keep an eye out for the donation boxes across the weekend," she said.

The charity will announce the total raised when possible.
