Portlaoise in Laois is continuing to expand rapidly and there is a plethora of new A-Rated houses on sale and under construction in existing housing estates, averaging around €350,000 each.
In Lake Drive, Kilminchy on the Dublin road, Casey Estates is selling 24 new homes to the sales market. More below gallery.

Described as exclusive luxury homes, they measure 1,322 square feet (123 square meters) and are fully fitted with white goods appliances, wardrobes, kitchen, floors and tiles.
They have three double bedrooms including one with an en-suite, a kitchen/dining room, sitting room, family bathroom and a cloakroom / pantry.
The A-Rated homes have air to water heating systems.
In Summerhill, the first two housing in the An Lochán housing estate are selling off the plans for €330,000 for a three bedroom home, and €375,000 for a four bedroom home.
Knight Frank New Homes describe them as:
"A new development of A-Rated 3 & 4 Bedroom homes nestled among the existing mature landscape 94 meticulously designed homes within walking distance of Portlaoise town with plenty of local amenities, such as shopping, restaurants, theatre, cinema, health and fitness, swimming and sports, there are also 4 local primary schools situated within a few minutes' walk of the site and a new site has been acquired by the Department of Education for the new Dunamase College to be built on the same ring road."
In Foxburrow near Portlaoise hospital, there are five types of homes from €350,000 upwards, offering from three to five bedroom homes with a usable attic, with the first three phases sold and a handful of houses left.
They offer designer kitchens with appliances and quartz worktops, designer bathrooms and fitted wardrobes.
Maryborough Village estate on the Mountrath Road is offering 18 houses with three or four bedrooms starting at €295,000, going up to €400,000.
Again A-Rated with air to water heating systems, these homes include designer kitchens with a pantry press and stone worktops, fitted wardrobes, light fixtures, full paintjobs and alarms.
The new homes would qualify for some Government supports towards the cost such as the Help to Buy scheme.
