Local primary school students gave an exceptional performance at the People First Credit Union School Quiz in Abbeyleix Manor Hotel on Monday, 10 February.
The annual quiz comprised of two categories: Competition A for entrants aged 10 or younger on December 31, 2024, and Competition B for entrants aged 12 or younger on the same date. Gaelscoil Phortlaoise were the well deserved winners in Competition A and Shanahoe National School took home the big trophy as the winners of Competition B!
These talented students have now secured their coveted places in the next stage of the competition which is scheduled for the 7-9 March, with both schools battling it out to advance to the National Final which will be on Sunday, 6 April.
People First Credit Union extended its heartfelt congratulations to Gaelscoil Phortlaoise and Shanahoe National School for their remarkable achievements in the Credit Union School Quiz.
