The Portlaoise St Patrick's Day committee are delighted with the 2024 festivities in the Laois county town and have sent out a message of thanks to its supporters and the public for making Sunday, March 17 such a success.
With the dust settled, the committee took the opportunity to reflect on the parade and festival and to extend its thanks to all in the community who got behind the Portlaoise event.
"The Parade consisted of numerous floats relaying a host of colour, fun, music and craic around the town. Street traders, Irish music and international music added to the festival atmosphere and jugglers; acts; bands buskers, street entertainers and much, much more all added to an event where there was a fantastic atmosphere," said PRO and secretary Pauline Flanagan.
