The newly refurbished Knock Hall in Spink finally reopened on Wednesday, 11 December after months of renovation works.

A central hub for everyone in the local community, the refurbishment project was completed to a high standard due to €50,000 in funding under the 2024 Clár programme.

Cathaoirleach of Laois County Council, Cllr Padraig Fleming spoke at the official opening and Fr. Peter Medves blessed the new hall. Spink Comhaltas provided fantastic entertainment on the night too.
Commenting on the reopening of the hall, Secretary of Spink Community Development Association, Anne Cass, said: "We got the Clár funding and we put it to good use. Our hall has been completely overhauled."
She added: "The whole life of the area centres around it really. It is great now, everybody that has seen it, they were in awe."
Take a look here at some of the photos from the reopening captured by Denis Byrne.
