The Pond Beach Resort in Errill, county Laois, will soon star in RTÉ's 'At Your Service', a programme where brothers Francis and John Brennan help revamp and rejuvenate hotels and B&B's.
The resort boasts four beachfront holiday homes, with hot tubs and outdoor baths. These brand new, state of the art holiday homes are a beautiful contrast to the rustic charm of the owner's ranch cabin.
Resort owners Pat and Iveta Bowe are excited to show the public what their beach resort and ranch cabins have to offer.
Mr and Mrs Bowe are delighted to present visitors with a gorgeous beach, in Ireland's most land-locked county.
"I'm a Balkan woman, I grew up going fishing with my father for years," explained Mrs Bowe.
"Pat and I were already running the Ranch Cabin, and that was doing great. We had this hairbrained idea to make a beach out of the old pond that was on the property. We installed the beach houses and did up the surrounding areas," explained Mrs Bowe.
The resort offers hot-tubs and outdoor baths, sports facilities for volleyball and basketball, a beach front diner, kayaking and paddle-boat facilities. The Celtic House by the beachfront is a fan-favourite with guests.
"This really was a project born out of love. We run it as a family-run business, along with the ranch cabin, while Pat also runs the dairy farm. Our daughters Chloe (6) and Vanessa (22) have been helping us through the whole journey," Iveta said.
"Chloe loves the koi fish we have in the pond, she named the biggest one 'barracuda' and loves it like a pet," laughed Mrs Bowe.
The Pond Beach Diner boasts a stunning menu of locally sourced food creating beautiful dishes. Irish staples such as lamb stew and full Irish breakfasts are available, with other gorgeous meals such a variety of salads, steak sandwiches and delicious soups.
The diner will also offer afternoon tea to its patrons. Many other dishes are to be added in the coming weeks.
For those who prefer woodsy scenes to beachfronts, the couple also offer ranch cabins with saunas and barbecue facilities.
The Pond Beach Resort will host an open day to the public on September 8. You can catch the business on RTÉ's 'At Your Service' in coming weeks.
