WATCH: Music and poetry at launch of new Portlaoise library

The beautiful new Portlaoise library opened on Monday, July 17, costing €7.6m for the community to enjoy.

Poet Pat Boran and young Mountmellick uileann piper Niamh Morris gave beautiful performances to mark the special day. The Portlaoise Imam was among three local religious leaders invited to bless the occasion. The library is open to the public free six days a week.
