WATCH: Harry Potter Irish actor selling art collection at Laois auction house

Sheppards Irish Auction House features the artworks in upcoming online sale

Celebrated Irish actor Fiona Shaw from Cork is selling her father's art collection through a Laois auction house.

A familiar face from Harry Potter, My Left Foot and more recently Fleabag, Bad Sisters, Killing Eve and Andor, Ms Shaw speaks lovingly about her father, Denis Wilson's collection of antiquities and fine art.

Some of his collection are included in Sheppard's Irish Auction House's Great Irish Interiors Auction on Tuesday and Wednesday in Durrow.  Lot 343; Henry Morgan's Views of Cork Harbour and the River Lee published by W. Spreat, Lithographer, High Street, Exeter will be offered for sale on Tuesday. Estimate is €400 to €600.

Sheppards describe them as "a rare and complete portfolio comprising 24 lithographic plates, each exquisitely drawn from nature and transferred to stone by Henry Morgan, Esq. This series captures the maritime majesty, civic pride, and pastoral charm of 18th-century Cork with exceptional detail and artistic sensitivity. The collection includes sweeping vistas of the River Lee, the bustling Harbour, and prominent architectural landmarks, all richly adorned with neoclassical and romantic flourishes".

The lithographs are framed by elegant typographic and floral borders, introduced with a poetic tribute to Cork
