Ballyfin native to be honoured at The Lovely Laois Homecoming Festival Gala Dinner in Portlaoise

The Supervet Prof Noel Fitzpatrick is looking forward to being honoured at The Lovely Laois Homecoming Festival Gala Dinner in September.

The Lovely Laois Festival 2025 is a new event celebrating local arts, music, culture, and food across Laois.

Taking place on September 5th, 6th, and 7th, the festival is the brainchild of Laois native and singer Trudi Lalor, who was inspired by her deep passion for community, connection, and belonging.

Her vision is to create a weekend for people to return, reconnect, and reunite—especially those with Laois roots living elsewhere.

The Mountrath woman told the Leinster Experss / Laois Live The Lovely Laois Homecoming Festival is delighted to welcome the Ballyfin man home to honour him along with four other deserving recipients from the county.

  • Christy Cullen composer of Lovely Laois.
  • Jack McDonald founder of the Laois People Worldwide Facebook Page.
  • Ger Thompson, Chairman of The Laois Association in Dublin.
  • The PATH Foundation- Portlaoise Action to Homelessness.

The Gala Dinner takes place on Saturday, September 6 in The Midlands Park Hotel, Portlaoise and includes a scrumptious four-course dinner followed by entertainment, dancing and lots of fun. MORE BELOW PHOTO.

The Musketeers - Mick Foster, Billy Morrissey and TR Dallas, followed by dancing to Shawn Cuddy and Damian Bowe. Trudi Lalor will also perform on the night as well as hosting the whole event.
