VIDEO: Welcome for A1 energy upgrade of Laois community housing for elderly

Mountmellick's Wolfe Tone Court praised by Laois County Council Cathaoirleach

Laois County Council Cathaoirleach Cllr Barry Walsh has warmly praised the energy upgrade to a community build scheme for the elderly in Mountmellick.

Cllr Walsh spoke in Wolfe Tone Court where the local volunteer committee gained SEAI grants and Government support for a €950,000 renovation of its 24 homes for the elderly in the local area. 

The committee chair John Moloney - former Fianna Fáil junior Minister for mental health said that their commitment to build and enhance the housing scheme "has been lived up to".  More in Tuesday's Leinster Express
