Green Party Senator and Minister of State in the Department of Agriculture Pippa Hackett has taken to her kitchen to bake buns in a last ditch effort to win her first seat in the General Election.
The Senator represented the former Laois Offaly constituency in recent years, after she was elected a councillor and then selected to be a Senator and a Minister by the Greens. The constituency is now split into two counties of three seats each. She is unlikely to win a seat as a TD, according to bookies say Offaly Live. It could end up like some of her buns "a bit disappointing".
