Independent Republican candidate Brian Stanley has been elected to the third and final seat in the Laois constituency.
The Deputy has thanked Laois voters for their support, and has hit out against a "dirty campaign" being ran by 'one party'.
The TD has thanked the women on his campaign team in particular, who have made up 80% of his campaign workers
The TD wished to thank his campaign team in particular, and has said that over 80% of his team are women.
Deputy Stanley gave a special thanks to his wife Cllr Caroline Dwane Stanley, and his children and granddaughter.
