Weather forecasters in Britain have not issued weather warnings for snow above Status Yellow over the coming days but do warn of significant falls.

The Met Office has issued Status Yellow snow warnings up to and including Saturday next. The latest UK forecast shows extensive snow across Leinster for Tuesday night into Wednesday.

It says there has been extensive snow in parts of the east but many areas have seen very little snow so far on Tuesday. Some areas in the west of England are likely to see more sun than snow on Tuesday.

More snow is expected in the coming days.

Met Éireann has said status red warnings are likely.
