A couple of cousins in Cuddagh, Castletown, Co. Laois made great use of their time during the snow day on Thursday, March 1.
Patrick Kirwan, Gearoid Kirwan, Nicola, Cein and Shauna Kirwan along with Cathal Moore and Sinead Hanlon constructed a masterpiece of an igloo but left a hole in the roof so they could start a fire inside.
The group enjoyed a couple of drinks, mugs of tea, fried sausages inside and toasted precious bread their warm igloo for a couple of hours before the blizzard got wild after all of their hard work putting it together.
They decided the humble abode was sturdy enough to put up for rent and they are asking for €55 a night including breakfast! Any takers?
Thanks to Sinead Hanlon for sending in pictures and videos!
