FLOODING: Flood Relief Minister saw the damage done by floods in Mountmellick #watch

The devastation caused by the flooding in Mountmellick was seen first first by the Minister of State with special responsibility for Flood Relief Kevin Boxer Moran as he toured the Laois town.

The Independent Alliance TD was accompanied by Government colleague and Laois TD Charlie Flanagan. The announced a humanitarian package of aid for the victims during the visit.

Minister Moran also said a new flood risk would have to be carried out for the town in the wake of the deluge.
