The Leinster Express got a first look at Manor Road in Mountmellick which was devastated by flooding.
While the road is now accessible a like of water in adjoining fields is still emptying onto the street and into the Laois town.
Express report Michelle Hogan filmed the scene which shows water still gushing from field onto road.
