Brave Laois woman Emma Fogarty had inspiring words to share on The Late Late Show this Friday night.

Emma accompanied actor Colin Farrell to speak about her painful debilitating skin condition EB, and how she is determined not to let it rule her life.

The condition means the slightest touch breaks her skin.

"I have open wounds like third degree burns over 80% of my body," she said.

Despite this Emma has completed third level college, learned to drive her own car, and is the ambassador for the support charity Debra Ireland.

"I believe you have two choices, you can sit in a corner and dwell on your problems, but I was given a life, a life to live and I am determined to live it to the fullest," she told Ryan Tubridy to applause.

"You're the most amazing person I've ever met," Colin Farrell told her.

They hope to raise €60,000 for Debra Ireland to pay for professionals to change daily bandages for the 300 Irish sufferers, rather than leaving the tortuous task to parents.
